Arnold Transforms Based Image Watermarking In 4-Level DWT Using K-D Trees

Watermarking is the process of hiding digital information in a carrier signal. Embedding a digital signal with information which cannot be removed easily is called digital watermarking. This work presents an adaptive watermarking method based on Arnold Transforms, which can improve the security of data during transmission more effectively. In this method a logo message is embedded into a cover image. Before embedding, the secret data undergoes Arnold transformation. Arnold Scrambling splits the non-square image to multiple square regions, and scrambles each region. According to the periodicity of Arnold scrambling, the original image can be restored after several cycles. The data is embedded into the 4level DWT decomposed sub bands of the original image. In order to analyze complexity of cover image k-d trees are used. This tree structure is used for embedding watermarked image in the original image. Tree structure uses DWT domain. Using inverse watermarking the watermarked image and original image can be separated. HVS masking is used to guide the overall process.
